Leonardo Bortolotto

Leonardo Bortolotto was born in 1981 in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy. After the completion of art school in Venice, he decided to devote himself to the study of music altogether. He studied classical guitar with Stefano Viola. His first encounters with the old music was dominated by the study of the viola da gamba with Guido Balestracci, Carlo Denti, Christian and Claudia Contadin Pasetto. Since then, he has worked intensively with the "Accademia Italiana Strumentale" under the direction of Alberto Rasi. With this ensemble he has already made several CD recordings and played regularly throughout Europe, accompanied by important artists such as Bruce Dickey and Roberta Invernizzi.Ausser the viola da gamba, violone and he plays lirone, tools, with which it already has a number of baroque operas, including "La Liberation di Ruggiero dall'Isola d'Alcina" by Francesca Caccini (under the direction of Giorgio Paronuzzi) and "L'incoronazione di Poppea" by Claudio Monteverdi (led by Massimiliano Toni). Currently he studies viola da gamba at the Schola Cantorum in the class of Paolo Pandolfo.Im course of his studies, he participated in projects under the direction of Hervé Niquet, Ton Koopman, Paolo Pandolfo, Bruce Dickey, Juan Manuel Quintana, Mark Hunn Feininger, Alberto Rasi, Massimiliano Toni part. He is co-founder of the ensemble "The Little Light Consort" He has recorded for Tactus, Divox, Stradivarius and played among others in the following festivals:. Pearl Baroque Festival (Warsav, PO), Oslo (NO), Ringebu (NO), Itinéraire Baroque en Périgord Vert (FR) moment Musicaux de Chacarel (Rasteau, FR) Fringe Festival in Utrecht (NL).
